Yeah, the girls!
The Valley Girl Social movement was birthed in 2022 through a simple night for the women of Valley Family Church to gather and grow in community. When it was launched, we weren't sure who would show up. Much to our shock, hundreds of women came out to worship, hear the Word and find friends for their faith. One gathering turning into two, and each time we got together, the girls brought more friends.
Eventually, there was a clear Valley Girl Social identity and many beautiful women in our church and city began to come to our social nights as a watering well in their relationship with Jesus.
Beyond our Valley Girl Social nights, we've added small groups, our bi-weekly summer studies and our first conference in October of 2025.
It's been a fun and beautiful journey -- full of God surprises along the way and His Hand of favor in every direction -- and we're just rolling with it!

Meet Pastor Alexa
Alexa and her husband, Eric, are the Lead Pastors of Valley Family Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan. They have two beautiful kids and are passionate about Jesus, family and the next generation. With ten years of ministry experience and nearly three years of Pastoring, Alexa is full of the Word and Spirit and loves to encourage people in their faith.
